Borders CEO spearheaded Web break from Amazon

Borders' goal is to transform its stores and Web site into "headquarters for knowledge and entertainment," CEO George Jones told attendees at the Shop.org conference. New Web features that differentiate Borders' Web site from Amazon.com include its Magic Shelf browsing experience and the ability to have used books, movies and music shipped to stores for pickup.
