Chemical industry tracks V-shaped recovery, ACC economist says

There are signs of a V-shaped recovery for the global chemical industry through the final two quarters of this year and into 2010, said Kevin Swift, chief economist for the American Chemistry Council. "Destocking is ending, and leading indicators suggest a trough with recovery of final demand and inventory swing engendering an upturn," he said.
