Foreign direct investment increases 7% in China

Marking the first expansion of investment capital flowing into China in 11 months, foreign direct investment rose 7% in August compared with the same month last year, the Ministry of Commerce said. The increase was a spectacular reversal from the 35.7% drop in July. A significant portion of the inflow is going into manufacturing, said ministry spokesman Yao Jian.
