Fractional aircraft industry refocuses on value

The fractional business aircraft industry reached a milestone of more than 1,000 aircraft in service, but customers are focusing on value in the current economy. As the value of unsold aircraft drops by up to 30%, fractional operators are taking few deliveries of new aircraft. However, some fractional owners have seized the opportunity to renegotiate contracts at lower rates, according to aviation consultant Rolland Vincent.
