Home Depot "lights up" over eco-friendly buyers

Home Depot has started a light-bulb recycling program. "Compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs last 10 times longer than your incandescent bulb, but they've got mercury inside of them, so you really shouldn't throw them away," Home Depot CFO Carol Tome said. The chain also is hoping to reach more environmentally responsive buyers with its "Eco Options" line, which features more than 3,700 products.
