CDC: Vaccination rates for children remain above 90%

The CDC said more than 90% of children ages 19 to 35 months were vaccinated against polio, measles-mumps-rubella, chickenpox and hepatitis B, while fewer than 1% of them had not received any immunizations. "While it's encouraging to see immunization rates remaining high, we know that parents have questions about vaccines and we must continue to educate parents about the importance of vaccination to help avoid future resurgences in serious, preventable illnesses," a CDC official said.
