Clearwire to lose Time Warner Cable as an investor

Time Warner Cable will shed its 7.8% investment in wireless broadband provider Clearwire, the cable company disclosed in a government filing. "It seems like an opportune time to start to sell the shares in light of the company's arrangements with Verizon Wireless," said Time Warner Cable spokesman Justin Venech, referring to the company's cross-marketing arrangement with the carrier. Clearwire's remaining investors will get first crack at the shares.
