Motor-racing firms rev up eco-marketing projects

The auto-racing business is getting a taste for green marketing, writes Tina Casey. Virginia International Raceway has named a recycled-oil brand as its official oil, NASCAR has added a "green sponsor" category for brands such as Liberty Tire Recycling and bio-oil firm Green Earth Technologies, and other racetracks are adding solar installations and holding green expos to burnish their eco-credentials.
