22 of 23 firms settle SEC short-selling allegations

The Securities and Exchange Commission says it has charged 23 companies with violating short-selling rules involving public offerings. D.E. Shaw and 21 other firms have agreed to settle for a total of $14.4 million. G-2 Trading is the lone company challenging the allegation.
