A forum at Boston Latin School gave students a real-life exercise in civics and voter education. Boston's mayoral candidates circulated among classrooms to deliver 10-minute pitches that addressed funding for professional development for teachers, jobs and public safety, and students and others asked questions. "Through this process, students learn how the election process works. But they also learn how voter education matters," said Pamela Julian, president of the League of Women Voters of Boston that organized the event with Ward Fellows.
