CDC: West Nile virus cases in U.S. reach 696

As of Sept. 10, 696 cases of West Nile virus infection had been reported, including 28 deaths related to the illness, the CDC said. Colorado had the most cases at 120, and California had the most deaths with six. The virus has been found in 47 states and Washington, D.C.
