Dietitians develop apps to help people manage their diets

Registered dietitians have developed mobile applications such as Honey and The Pocket Dietitian that allow them to offer personalized advice and help users track nutrition in real time. RD Nilima Desai, who helped to develop The Pocket Dietitian, said patients often give up on a diet because they get confused about recommendations, and the app helps them achieve a balanced approach to eating by offering healthier options.
