Iran plans to launch cat into space

Iranian officials announced plans to launch a cat into space as part of the country's plan to send a human into orbit by 2018. A Persian cat will likely be chosen as the country's latest astronaut, but other animals -- mice, a turtle, worms and allegedly a monkey -- have been used in the space program, the government said.
