MOM's will take Giant of Maryland's old site in Baltimore

MOM's Organic Market is set to open a 15,000-square-foot store in a Baltimore shopping mall, replacing a Giant of Maryland location that closed last year, redeveloper Hekemian says. MOM's beat out Graul's Market and The Fresh Market for the space. The mall is expected to be completed in 2015. "MOM's brings something uniquely new to the [city] market," said Chris Bell, Hekemian's senior vice president for development. "It's much more like a Trader Joe's. Their stores typically do very high volume."
