Students at 14 West Virginia high schools will use text messages to stay in touch with college counselors and admissions offices this year. The pilot program is sponsored by the state's Higher Education Commission. "As we really sharpen our focus on both encouraging high school students to attend college and supporting them until they walk across the stage to a degree, we have to be nimble and innovative," Chancellor Paul Hill said.
