Ore. county dispatchers have easy access to state counterparts

Deschutes County 9-1-1 has Oregon's first emergency response system that links county dispatchers with those at the Oregon State Police and Department of Transportation. The state dispatchers can then send messages to state police or plow trucks. "They'll get the message the same time as we get it; it's really just a time-saver," county 9-1-1 systems manager Rick Silbaugh said.
