Premium rates approved for Md. small-business health exchange

Premium rates for the small-business health exchange in Maryland have been approved by insurance officials in that state. The exchange, which is being set up as part of the Affordable Care Act, will be operational at the beginning of next year. The premiums will "compare favorably" to those in other states, according to Maryland Insurance Commissioner Therese Goldsmith.
