Riverboat authority approves land-based Iowa casino

Dan Kehl received approval from the Riverboat Development Authority to develop a $110 million land-based casino in Davenport, Iowa. "We’re putting our best foot forward," Kehl said. "Hopefully everybody will see that this is a great development for the Quad Cities." At a City Council meeting Monday night, Davenport Mayor Bill Gluba expressed concern over a lack of competition for the casino, but it remains unclear how much say the city has in Kehl's plans to move ahead.
