SEC to consider pay-ratio rule today

The Securities and Exchange Commission will consider at an open meeting today whether to propose rules for companies to disclose the corporate-employee pay ratio. The requirement, which is part of the Dodd-Frank Act, calls for companies to disclose all employees' median annual total compensation as a ratio to their CEO's median annual total compensation.
