Smartphone breathalyzer app aims to curb DUIs

A $50 smartphone application and a $150 breath device that allows imbibers to test their blood alcohol level may help stop intoxicated drivers from getting behind the wheel. The Breathometer app can also tap into GPS signals and call a cab if the user is too tipsy. The key-sized breathalyzer hooks into a smartphone jack, and the app can also estimate the time it will take for the drinker to sober up.
