Survey: Health care companies to invest in "transformative supply chain strategies"

A major transformation is brewing in the health care supply chain as 84% of executives plan to invest in technological advancements over the next five years, a UPS-commissioned survey found. In addition, 78% plan to expand into new global markets, 70% will adopt new distribution channels and 59% will increase their use of third-party logistics providers. "As the industry shifts to meet new customer and market demands, executives are investing in transformative supply chain strategies and strategic partnerships that will help them achieve long-term business goals," said Bill Hook, UPS Healthcare Logistics' global strategy vice president.
