More students switch from private to public schools

Anecdotal evidence suggests a growing number of parents are moving their children out of private schools to public ones, perhaps because of soaring private-school tuitions and the fear that top colleges limit admissions from elite private campuses. With public high school curriculum assuming more rigor, some former private-school parents report they're pleased with the academic options their local schools offer.
