Big business more supportive of gay workers, but bias persists

The number of major U.S. firms earning the top score on the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index jumped 41% from last year, rising to 195 firms from 138. However, the American Civil Liberties Union's "Working in the Shadows: Ending Employment Discrimination for LGBT Americans" report paints a less rosy picture by highlighting specific incidents of workplace bias experienced by LGBT people.
