Researchers find liver cancer marker in blood

Chinese researchers discovered an altered version of the tumor-suppressing gene RASSF1A in the blood of patients with hepatitis B virus and hepatocellular carcinoma. Researchers expect the findings may lead to the development of a clinical test to identify patients with early-stage liver cancer.
