Montgomery County, Md., puts brakes on transportation plans

Montgomery County was forced to put the brakes on some high-profile transportation projects after Maryland announced a $1.1 billion shortfall in revenue. The county will lose about $112.7 million for nine projects, including $15.8 million to improve intersections around the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. The county also will not be able to purchase new buses for Ride On.
