No industrywide depositions in Delta suit, judge rules

A federal judge has agreed with airline attorneys who argued that deposing four industry CEOs would create an "immaterial sideshow" in a suit to halt the merger between Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines. Lawyers for the 28 plaintiffs attempting to block the deal wanted to question the heads of American Airlines, Continental Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways regarding their views on consolidation in the industry.
