Retailers: HDTV complexities confuse consumers

Consumers looking to buy HDTV sets are often put off by their bewilderment over new technologies and the industry's inability to effectively articulate the benefits of HD, according to retailers speaking at an HDTV conference. They also voiced concerns that A/V specialty outlets were suffering because big-screen, flat-panel monitors were fast becoming a commodity.
