RMS lowers estimate of Ike damage

Insured losses from Hurricane Ike will be between $7 billion and $12 billion, says Risk Management Solutions, in part because industrial facilities escaped major damage. Their original estimate had been as high as $16 billion, but they're still unsure how much of the damages will be covered by wind and flood policies.
