AHIMA official speaks out about putting ARRA funds to its best use

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT will face "a real political decision" on how to spend the $2 billion funding allotted by the government under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, said Dan Rode, vice president of policy and government relations at the American Health Information Management Association. Rode also urged industry stakeholders to work with states in order to efficiently use ARRA funds and strengthen EHR education and information management.
