Fed proposes restricting how banks pay employees

The Federal Reserve proposed requiring banks to have their compensation policies approved by the central bank. The Fed could reject policies it thinks will encourage excessive risk-taking by a range of bank employees, including loan officers, traders and even CEOs. Compensation policies of the largest banks would be under intense scrutiny.
