Google unveils display ad service

The DoubleClick Ad Exchange promises to meld the strengths of Google's search engine auction system with the display ad capabilities of DoubleClick, which it acquired 18 months ago. "We are going to be bringing a lot of the know-how and a lot of the efficiencies of the search market to the art of display," said Neal Mohan, a Google vice president of product management.
