Report estimates inflation rates for health care supplies

Annual market inflation rates for health care supplies will remain unchanged at 15% through 2010 in cardiovascular services, facilities, imaging, nursing and other categories, according to a report from Premier health care alliance. The report anticipates continued price increases for medical isotopes as a result of a worldwide shortage, as well as a high demand for products used in pandemic preparedness as providers prepare for the increase in H1N1 flu cases this fall.
