Is AT&T shopping assets to salvage the T-Mobile bid?

AT&T has reached out to other telecoms as well as to DISH Network in an effort to salvage its deal to buy T-Mobile USA, according to this published report, which says the carrier has sought out prepaid carriers MetroPCS Communications and Leap Wireless to gauge their interest in buying spectrum and subscribers. AT&T has also reportedly spoken to CenturyLink, Sprint Nextel and DISH about possibly buying assets, although AT&T did not comment on the report.
