Lawn mowers should be maintained before being stored for winter

Lawn mowers that receive maintenance before being stowed away are more likely to function the next summer, according to employees at Michigan Sales and Equipment in Marquette, Mich. Grass clippings should be removed, pivots and linkages should be oiled and the engine should receive a fuel stabilizer. Annually changing the machine's oil can also benefit mowers, one employee said.
