About 200 companies have filed to go public this year, but 21 canceled their IPO plans in August amid market upheaval. Especially concerning are rumors that Groupon and Zynga are planning to delay their IPOs, writes Carol Tice. Canceled initial public offerings mean that venture capitalists will have less to invest in startup businesses, Tice writes.
