Intel may add Android to tablets with Atom processor

Tablet makers who want to deploy Intel's new Atom chip may have the option of building Android devices as well as those based on Microsoft's Windows 8 platform, Intel said Monday, reversing earlier statements in which the company said that the "Clover Trail" processor had been built solely with Windows software in mind. Also, Motorola Mobility today introduced the Razr i smartphone for Europe and Latin America that will run on Intel chips rather than Qualcomm's Snapdragon, the first device shipped as part of the phone maker's new agreement with Intel.
