Mary Jo White, head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, has had to recuse herself from a number of high-profile cases due to conflicts of interest. White is prevented from working on certain cases that would affect her previous employer, the law firm Debevoise & Plimpton for a period of two years. The SEC says that White's recusals are having no effect on the operations of the regulatory agency. White is a confirmed speaker for SIFMA's Annual Meeting on Nov. 11-12 in New York City. Register before early-bird rates expire Sept. 30.
