On cybersecurity, banks worry about the enemy within

The world's financial institutions are shelling out more money than ever to protect their networks from the looming threat of cyberattacks, but rather than view cybersecurity as an operating cost, many see the expenditure as an investment in the stability of their brands. That was the consensus at a recent industry gathering in Dubai that drew more than 7,000 banking technology professionals -- 30% of whom said they are worried about data breaches that originate from within their organizations by rogue employees or partners.
