Grand Theft Auto V sales exceed $800M on first day, Take-Two reports

Global sales of Grand Theft Auto V on Tuesday stood at more than $800 million, according to Take-Two Interactive Software, publisher of the Rockstar Games video game. The one-day total compares with opening-day sales of $310 million for Grand Theft Auto IV five years ago. Michael Olson of Piper Jaffray estimated that buyers snapped up 10 million to 12 million copies of GTA V in the first 24 hours.
