Group encourages students to take up construction careers

The Associated General Contractors of America has teamed with businesses and schools in Sioux Falls, S.D., to create an initiative to boost high-school students' interest in construction careers. The group helps provide students with a real-life learning experience in the trade. "Construction has a broad range of opportunities, everything from equipment operation to carpentry to steel erection, working with your hands in the field," said Ben Holst, AGC's workforce development coordinator.
