Improved transparency changes global wine-pricing trends

Wine-pricing trends have changed significantly in the last 10 years as worldwide prices become more transparent and deter retailers from imposing a high premium on products, according to a new report from Wine-Searcher. The data shows that variability among merchant prices has dropped by 12% since 2003. "While the range on many wines is still surprisingly large, it is smaller than it used to be," said Wine-Searcher CEO Martin Brown.
