India will restrict sales of 46 habit-forming drugs

Forty-six potentially addictive drugs will no longer be sold over the counter in India and will instead be dispensed only with a doctor's prescription, beginning March 1. Pharmacists will be required to record and maintain for three years the names and addresses of patients and prescribers of the drugs.
