NASA storm drones to supply key data

Studying how storms develop is the goal of NASA's new initiative employing Global Hawk drones. NASA scientists plan to use the flight data from the drones to determine how hurricanes are affected by the Saharan air layer and thunderstorms, key factors in the intensity and development of the violent weather.
