Obama: House can pass immigration reforms step-by-step if it addresses key issues

The move to overhaul the country's immigration policies could be done step-by-step in the House of Representatives as long as people who entered the country illegally are given a "pathway to citizenship," said President Barack Obama. He wants the chamber to address border security and employers that exploit undocumented workers, and has urged Speaker of the House John Boehner to move the issue to a floor vote. "I'm happy to let the House work its will as long as the bill that ends up on my desk speaks to the central issues that have to be resolved," Obama said.
