Pilot dedicates life to fighting wildfires

U.S. Forest Service Pilot Rick Gicla spends almost half the year fighting wildfires in several states. After he got his pilot's license, his mother helped him open a charter service. In 2000 he went to work for the Forest Service and became certified as a lead wildfire pilot. "I've just always liked airplanes since I was a little kid. When I decided I wanted to learn to fly, I saw it as a career path," Gicla explained.
