Report: Biometric identification should be considered for U.S.

Biometric identification is a viable solution for U.S. points of entry, according to a report by the Center for Immigration Studies. "Fourteen other nations have already done this extremely well," said Janice Kephart, the report’s author. She estimates the technology would cost up to $600 million in the first year for deployment and training, which is less than previous estimates.
