Researchers say physically fit students perform better on tests

Students who are more physically fit may have an easier time learning in "challenging situations," according to a recent study. Researchers from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign found that students in better physical condition were better able to remember certain concepts without intermittent testing than their less-fit peers. As a result, Charles Hillman, who co-authored the study, said students should spend "at least an hour a day" engaged in vigorous physical activity.
