YouTube mobile app to support short-term video downloads

YouTube is preparing to upgrade its mobile application to enable users to download content for offline viewing. The company says the feature, scheduled to go live in November, will allow users to download video to a device for watching offline as long as the device connects to the Internet at least once every 48 hours.
