China regional aircraft builder receives orders

China's AVIC I Commercial Aircraft received 35 orders for its ARJ21 regional jet from Chinese airlines. The 60- to 90-seat planes, targeted primarily at feeder flights, particularly to China's mountainous regions in the west, will use General Electric CF-34 turbo fans and technology supplied by Boeing Co., Airbus and Antonov.
