Cruise ships: They're not just in Florida anymore

Many cruise lines now offer voyages that depart from non-Florida ports, The Miami Herald reports. By sending ships to ports in Texas, the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast and making journeys easier for customers who live in those areas, cruise lines hope to draw consumers who might not consider a cruise vacation that departs from Florida. U.S. Maritime Administration figures show an 80% increase in cruise traffic through California ports in the past two years.
